AastroBharat

Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, how your birth details and phone number are protected, and how to get your data removed.

Last updated 25 Aug 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information AastroBharat collects, why we collect it, how we protect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to this website, our free calculators and reports, our consultations, and our order fulfilment.

We have tried to write this without legal fog. If anything is unclear, ask us at info@aastrobharat.com and we will explain it plainly.

1. The short version

  • We collect only what we need to answer your question, deliver your order, or run the site.
  • Birth details are used to prepare your chart and nothing else. They are never sold.
  • We do not store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or bank password — ever.
  • We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
  • You can ask us to correct or delete your data at any time.

2. Who is responsible for your data

AastroBharat, operating from 43 Jamuna Dairy, Sodala, Jaipur, Rajasthan 302006, India, is responsible for the personal data described here. You can reach us at info@aastrobharat.com or +91 91191 17057.

3. Information you give us

  • Identity and contact details: name, mobile number, email address, and postal address for delivery.
  • Birth details: date of birth, time of birth, place of birth, and gender where relevant to the calculation. Provided voluntarily when you request a reading, a report or use a calculator.
  • Consultation context: the question or situation you describe, and any notes we make to give continuity at follow-up.
  • Order information: items ordered, delivery address, invoice details, and any GST number you supply.
  • Account details: your verified mobile number and, if you sign in with Google or Facebook, the basic profile information those providers share.
  • Content you submit: product reviews, ratings, and messages you send us.

4. Information collected automatically

  • Device and log data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, and pages viewed.
  • Cookies and local storage: to keep your cart and session working, remember your light or dark theme preference, and understand aggregate usage.
  • Approximate location: derived from a place name you search for when a calculator needs latitude, longitude and time zone. We do not track your live GPS location.

5. Information from third parties

  • Payment gateway: a payment status, method type and reference number. Not your card or banking credentials.
  • Courier partners: tracking and delivery status for your parcel.
  • Social login providers: basic profile details if you choose to sign in with Google or Facebook.
  • Place lookup service: coordinates and time zone for a city name you type into a calculator.

6. How we handle birth details

We treat birth details as sensitive personal information, because for many people they are.

  • They are used only to compute your chart, report or remedy suggestion.
  • They are never sold, rented, or shared with advertisers or data brokers.
  • They are not published anywhere, and are not visible to other customers.
  • If you use a free calculator without an account, your inputs are processed to generate the result and are not attached to any marketing profile.
  • You can ask us to delete stored birth details at any time.

7. Phone number and OTP verification

Your mobile number is used to verify identity, secure your account, send transactional messages such as order confirmations, dispatch updates and consultation reminders, and to reach you on WhatsApp where you have contacted us there.

  • We do not set or store a password, so there is no password of yours to leak from our side.
  • OTPs expire after a few minutes and cannot be reused.
  • OTP requests and verifications are rate-limited to prevent abuse.
  • We will never ask you for an OTP, PIN or password over a call, message or email. Anyone doing so is not us.

8. Why we use your information

  • To prepare charts, reports and remedy suggestions you have asked for.
  • To process orders, take payment, raise invoices and arrange delivery.
  • To verify your identity and keep your account secure.
  • To provide customer support and answer your questions.
  • To send transactional updates about an order or a booking.
  • To display genuine, verified product reviews.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and automated attacks.
  • To improve the website, fix errors and understand aggregate usage.
  • To comply with tax, accounting and other legal obligations.
  • To send offers or updates, only where you have opted in. You can opt out at any time.

We rely on your consent for readings and marketing, on performance of a contract for orders and consultations, on our legitimate interest for security and site improvement, and on legal obligation for tax records.

9. Payment information

Online payments are processed by a third-party payment gateway on its own secure infrastructure. Your card number, CVV, expiry, UPI PIN and net-banking credentials are entered there and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. We retain only the payment status, method type, amount and reference number required for accounting and support. Handling of your payment credentials is additionally governed by that gateway's privacy policy.

10. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of cookies and browser storage entries:

  • Essential: session, security token, cart contents, login state. The site cannot function without these.
  • Preference: your light or dark theme choice, and remembered form inputs in some tools.
  • Analytics: aggregate, non-identifying usage measurement to see which pages are useful.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will break cart and login functionality.

11. Who we share information with

We share the minimum necessary, and only with:

  • Payment gateway — to take and reconcile payment.
  • Courier and logistics partners — name, address and phone number to deliver your parcel.
  • Communication providers — to send OTPs and order updates by SMS, WhatsApp or email.
  • Hosting and IT providers — who store data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
  • Professional advisers — accountants or lawyers, where genuinely required.
  • Authorities — where we are legally compelled to disclose, or to protect our rights, safety or property.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not share your birth details with advertisers.

12. How long we keep data

  • Order and invoice records: as long as required under tax and accounting law, typically up to eight years.
  • Account details: until you ask us to delete the account.
  • Birth details and consultation notes: retained for continuity at follow-up, and deleted on request.
  • Support conversations: retained for a reasonable period to handle disputes.
  • Log and analytics data: retained for a limited period, then aggregated or deleted.

13. How we protect your information

  • Encrypted HTTPS transport between your device and our servers.
  • No password storage for customer accounts — OTP based sign-in only.
  • Expiring, rate-limited OTPs to block brute-force and bulk-SMS abuse.
  • No storage of card, CVV or banking credentials.
  • Restricted administrative access, limited to team members who need it to fulfil your order or consultation.
  • Regular software updates on the application and hosting stack.

We are honest about the limit here: no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. We use reasonable, industry-standard safeguards and keep stored data minimal. If a breach affecting your personal data occurs, we will act promptly and inform affected users and authorities as required by law.

14. Your rights and choices

You may ask us to:

  • Confirm what personal data we hold about you, and give you a copy.
  • Correct anything inaccurate or outdated.
  • Delete your account and personal data, subject to records we must keep by law.
  • Withdraw consent for readings or marketing at any time.
  • Stop promotional messages, while still receiving essential order updates.

Write to info@aastrobharat.com from your registered email, or message us from your registered number, so we can verify the request. We aim to respond within 30 days.

15. Children's privacy

Our services are intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Where a parent or guardian shares a child's birth details for a family reading, that data is treated with the same protections described here and will be deleted on the parent's request. If you believe a child has submitted data to us directly, contact us and we will remove it.

Our website may link to other sites and social media pages. We do not control them and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their policies before sharing information there.

17. Data location and transfers

Your data is primarily stored on servers used for this website. Some of our service providers, such as email, messaging or analytics vendors, may process data outside India. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure a comparable level of protection.

18. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services or the law change. The updated version takes effect when published here, and the "last updated" date changes accordingly. Material changes will be highlighted on the website where practical.

19. Contact and grievance

For any privacy question, data request or grievance:
